Answering The Call

Children’s Hope effort has answered the call for humanitarian assistance by several organizations.

World Association for Children and Parents (WACAP) has been improving the living conditions for children for over 30 years. To honor their efforts, Children’s Hope Network provided a donation of $4500 in support of their Russian milk fund. This program feeds 500-800 Russian orphans a month in sixteen orphanages. Held on August, 19, 2007, we were the fortunate recipients of Lakeshore Dance Studio’s Dance It fundraiser, Hope in Motion. They provided a beautiful adoption / family themed dance performance that many will long remember.

Please view the brochure from this event.

Each summer, Happy Families International Center Folkfest sponsors Russian children to visit the United and stay with host families. The children also share their Russian culture through musical performances. As a gift and thank you, CHN has sent each child a quilt.

In partnership with Pilgrim United Church of Christ, over the last three years, we have provided financial donations for several special needs orphans in the Gayoa, China, to insure that they could attend school.

Two large donations of hand knit hats, mittens, and scarves were donated to Happy Families Int’l Centerin the summer of 2006 and World Association for Children and Families in the summer of 2007. The donations would be delivered to orphanages though out Russia by traveling FRUA families.

A large donation of crayons, colored markers and pencils was presented to Families For Russian Ukrainian Adoption ( FRUA) in Fall, 2006 in support of their grow bag program.

In the spring of 2007, CHN provided an adoption grant to the L. family to complete the adoption of their fifth special needs child from China.

Annual donations and advocacy in support of educational adoption services are offered by Adoption Resources of Wisconsin. In the summer of 2007, we made a donation of 25 quilts for children being placed into foster care homes.
